Accommodation:
As noted elsewhere the conference will take place at Copthorne Hotel and Resort Bay of Islands, Waitangi, NZ from Monday, November 27–Friday, 1 December, 2023.
Registrants are expected to arrange their own accomodation. The number of rooms available at the hotel is
limited because of renovations. The conference room rates are as per below. The best way to book a room at the conference hotel is by
using the hotel website. Important:
Once you have selected the conference dates for the hotel it will seem as though all the rooms are booked—this is currently not the case. You need to click on "CODES AND OPTIONS" link on the
right side of your screen, enter the code IBSAR23 in the "Group Code" line and click on the black "UPDATE RESULTS" button— see
the picture below.
Alternatively you can email copthorne.bayofislands@millenniumhotels.com and
request a booking. You will need to specify the room type and bed type, the nights you need, and
either quote reference number 9451665 or include the information this is for the BOI conference.
There are also a number of hotels available nearby in Paihia, which is an easy 2 km walk from the conference hotel.

The above rates are per room per night, based on single, twin share or double occupancy. Accommodation prices are inclusive of 15% Goods & Services Tax (GST).
Extra Person Policy
An extra person bed and breakfast rate of NZ$65.00 including GST applies when there are three adults sharing one (1) room.
